Probably the darkest song I've written. This was written at the height of my disillusionment, stress and frustration towards the end of my time with Secret Eye. After originally writing the song I selved it for a long time. It was only when I revisited it that I realised how downbeat and dark it was. I wasn't going to include it on this album originally. However, looking back, this song was a watershed moment for me as it was the wake up call that I needed to realise that I was unhappy with what I was doing musically and needed to change. Therefore, whilst Self Rejection may not be the best song I've written, in many ways it is one of the most important.
